The copper will take on a deep patina over time depending on the environment it is kept in, it can be polished with a soft cloth and natural shoe polish from time to time to keep it look its best.

DETAILS

  • Glass + copper box size: 19 x 15 x 8.5 cm {7.5 x 6 x 3.5 inches}

  • Dos-a-Dos journal size: 16.5 x 12 x 7 cm {6.5 x 5 x 2.75}

  • Hemp writing paper journal with bookmark - 162 sheets, 324 pages. {also takes light gouache +light watercolour. }

  • Medium weight gelatine sized cotton rag watercolour journal - 72 sheets, 144 pages.

  • Hardback covers with a cyanotype print created with foliage from my garden. T

  • The covers have some distressed details with gesso and walnut ink.

  • Hand painted indigo hemp and screen printed Katazome-shi endpaper.

  • The spines are made of veg tanned leather from a local tannery.

  • Hand sewn endbands.

  • Tied with a gold cord embellished with beads, suede and wood which could be personalised by the future keeper with their initials in ink or by using a wood burnishing/pyrography tool.

  • Presented in a pure copper and glass box and packaged in a gift box.

    *When writing or painting in this journal one side will require being rested upon something like a small book to support and fill the gap caused by the height of the other journal, this will need to be done until about a quarter way through the journal.
